Upgrading or Installing Internet Native Banner (INB)

Step-by-step directions for upgrading or installing INB for on-campus computers.

INB is not accessible from off campus.

1. Login to your PC with User Name: inb Password: edison01

2. Start Internet Explorer by clicking on the blue “e” next to the Start button at the bottom left of the screen or click the Start button and select All Programs -> Internet Explorer.

3. Log in to the myEdison Portal and go to the Faculty/Staff Services tab. Click on Banner INB.

4. The Browser will give a security warning, click the Yes button to install the Oracle JInitiator.

5. The Oracle JInitiator load screen will appear, click the Next button to start the software load.

6. The Installation complete box should appear. Click OK to finish installation.

7. A Jinitiator Security Warning Box will Display. Click Grant Always.

8. The Banner Logon Screen will appear.

9. Click the Windows Start button and choose Log Off.

10. Log on with your regular User name and Password.

11. Start Internet Explorer and return to the Faculty/Staff Services tab of the myEdison Portal.

12. Click Banner INB. You should be able to login to Banner Test or Prod with the user name and password provided by your supervisor or the Banner administrator.
