General Instructions for Most Classrooms with Projectors:
- Turn on the device (computer,
document camera, Sympodium, and/or DVD/VCR). Press the power button on the device.
- For the DVD/VCR player, use the “DVD and Video” buttons on the front of the unit to switch between DVD and VCR modes (if necessary) or use the “DVD and Video” buttons on the DVD/VCR remote.
- Turn on the projector. Use the projector remote. The power button is usually on the top right.
- Change projector source (if necessary). If the projector does not display the device you want, use the projector remote to switch the input source until it does.
- Standard sources for different devices (might be different in some classrooms):
- Computer/Sympodium: Computer 2 or RGB 2
- Document Camera: Computer 3 or RGB 3
- DVD/VCR: Video 2
- Button on projector remote to change source:
- Dell: Source
- Proxima: Computer or Video
- Hitachi: RBG or Video
- Adjust volume using the volume buttons on the projector remote.
Additional Notes:
- In some classrooms the Computer/Sympodium is run through the Document Camera. Switch which is displayed from the projector by pressing the Int./Ext. button on the Document Camera.
- DVDs can be played in the computer, this is especially useful if the DVD/VCR remote is missing.
