The Edison Document Server is accessible through the Document Manager tab in the myEdison Portal.
It is a powerful tool that can secure, share, track and manage documents and records.
Some important things to know about the Document Server:
- Some documents are available to anyone (Anonymous) and others require you to be signed in.
- When you first navigate to the Document Server you are Anonymous, not logged in. See on the right side of the blue bar where it says Anonymous and Login.
- After you log in, click Browse Documents.
- Clicking on a file name brings up the properties of that file. To open the file you must click Download this File.
The Document Server provides:
- A central document repository with audited document content version control
- Powerful document metadata management and versioning
- Sophisticated document authoring management and workflow
- Full-text indexing technology allowing search within document contents
- Powerful security group and role-based security model and integration with
Directory Servers
