Edison Email

Adding Edison Email in Thunderbird

  • These are instructions for setting up the Thunderbird email client on your personal computer to connect to Edison email.
  • Office computers for faculty and staff should already be setup with this configuration. For help with office computers submit a Help Desk ticket.
  • You can download the latest version of Thunderbird for free here.
  • The first time you start Thunderbird it should automatically start the Account Wizard, if it does not, click Tools, Account Settings, Add Account.

Account Type: Email

 

Identity

Set server type to IMAP. The server name for faculty and staff is mail.edison.edu, for students it is fremont.edison.edu.
