Files

• Impatica creates a filename-imp.jar file which contains the content of the PowerPoint and the player.
  • If you want to e-mail the presentation to the class you only need to send that one file.
  • If you want to post the presentation to WebCT or a Portal Course you could post just that one file.  In that case, when the link to that file is clicked the player will launch as a separate program.
• If configured to do so, Impatica also creates two additional files in the same folder: an ImPlayer file and an html file. 
  • Uploading all three of the generated files to WebCT and creating a link to the html file allows the presentation to open within a web page instead of as a separate program.
• The only thing the student's computer needs is the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). 
  • You can send this link with the jar file so students can download and install the JVM if they don't already have it. http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
